COVID-19 Pandemic

Optical bodies have been in consultation with NHS England and have now concluded we can move into the 'green phase'. This has removed the need for social distancing and allowed the reintroduction of pre-examination tests. Infection control measures, introduced during the pandemic, have been incorporated into our standard operating procedures.

Guidance has now stepped down universal mask wearing. We would be grateful if you could consider wearing a face-covering whilst in the examination room with the optometrist, for both your and their safety. Routine eye care may continue with these measures in place. This still includes new contact lens fittings. If you are due your regular sight test or feel there has been any change in your vision during the lockdown period or since your last eye exam, please contact your preferred practice.

Please be aware, if you do require a sight test, our optometrists will have to come within 2m of you, please consider this before booking. If you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This situation is ever-changing. If you have any concerns please make them known to us. The safety and comfort of both patients and staff is our utmost priority.

Thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
